I have a collection of 100+ art project ideas staring me in the face, daring me to take them on. But for years, they’ve remained just that: ideas. Sometimes I’ll go so far to actually purchase supplies, like terracotta-colored clay and a crimping tool for jewelry. Most of the time, it ends there—until now.
Here’s my idea: Instead of doing the projects, I’ll repost them so other people can do them! Or heck, maybe Stef of the Future will finally get around to one of the following someday:
One of my career dreams, aside from being a Crayola crayon namer, is to make dioramas for a living. Step One: Complete this tutorial as seen on Handmade Charlotte.

So these cute little twigs that the Blair Witch probably played with as a child are actually log reindeer (created by Woodland Sprites). Don’t they seem incredibly easy to make?? (Why don’t I just make them then!?)

How gorgeous are these DIY soap rocks/gemstones made by DIY in PDX? However, if I can’t even bring myself to twist some twine around some a stick, draw a face on it, and call it a “log reindeer,” I need to just accept that I will never make soap in this lifetime.

Catching Fireflies has the right idea: You take a pair of shoes you hate, decoupage things you like onto them, and then by virtue of association, the shoes you hate become shoes you love! But I currently have no shoes I hate, and I almost never buy shoes at all—Honey Bear probably has more shoes than I do. It’s just no use!

“I can do this!” I’ve said. “I’ve got keys! I’ve got paint! I’ve got… Well, that’s about it.” I finally got a rotary cutter that maybe I can finally use to bring some version of naneHandmade’s keychains to life. Oh, who am I kidding—I’m going to have the the picture of twelve-year-old Zac Hanson circa 1997 that Twist gave me a decade ago on my keys until the end of time.

I wore a spoon ring wrapped around my thumb throughout much of high school, so I fully support Kirsten Danielle’s tutorial. Unfortunately, this tragically seems to require more energy than I even have to expend.

Just think! If I’d put the same amount of effort toward one of these projects that I did toward writing and compiling this post, I’d have wound up with a freshly handmade craft that I wouldn’t know what to do with. But instead:
