I Tried Eating Once

March 11, 2004 marked my first day learning how to eat food. Well, it seemed that way, anyway.

My mom and I were in the kitchen, and she showed me the dog’s water dish, which accidentally had one of my hair ties floating in it. She suggested that maybe that could be a new vitamin for Buttons.

It’s hard to say why I found this so hilarious, but I sure did.

In fact, I just laughed like I’d never seen something so funny until all the Raisin Bran I had been eating just fell out of the bowl and into my lap, completely soaking my pants.

Make no mistake: Sitting with a clump of wet milky Raisin Bran in one’s crotch is not to be considered a good time.

Then, after I changed and gave up on the cereal, I started opening some crackers and all the crackers went flying everywhere.

Later, my mom yelled down the stairs, “Are you going to eat anything else before I clean this rug?”

Then I never ate again! THE END! (Just kidding—Honey Bear makes the best snacks and I could never give them up.)

Wow, your memories of your Mom are super awesome!!! hahaha I hope that she has not been committed as of this writing. Your dog Buttons did live to the ripe age of 15 1/2 years old so maybe there is something to that ‘new’ Vitamin. I hope that you know you can get a full body apron for the next time you try to eat cereal.
